Video Creation Company ilos Is Now VidGrid, Launches New Features

Video content creation platform and company ilos has rebranded and is now called VidGrid. With the name change came a new website, branding and platform. VidGrid was founded in 2012 with the goal of making video an accessible vehicle to communicate information across the enterprise. The core technology is powerful platform that makes it simple to capture, edit, host, and share video. Simple has always been a keyword for VidGrid, content capture needs to be easy and straightforward. That’s why VidGrid’s recording app empowers anyone to record a screen, webcam, voice and edit quickly in-app without the need for further software or rendering. Captured videos are stored on the platform and can be shared with a simple weblink with single click playback on any device.

Why the change?

Being a customer-centric company, ilos worked closely with customers to understand how they were using the platform, focusing on productivity and workflows. The team dug into different use cases such as sales, marketing, customer support, customer success, corporate training, and education. The results found that there was a huge gap with how ilos along with other video platforms allow people to view video. Video playback was being delivered as a 1-way experience, meaning the video is delivered to the viewer and they consume it. The uncovered truth is that video needs to be more interactive to be effective and create two-way conversation. Basically, people should be able to respond and interact with the video you create an send to them with ilos.

The Changes

Enter VidGrid. ilos launched a mission to develop new features with the idea that they create video’s most interactive platform.  The result, VidGrid, the first two-way video platform enabling users to create and share great video content while enabling the viewer to interact respond and contribute. Here are a few new features added to the platform:
