Warning: Do not install VidIQ. I have a popular YT channel & paid $50 to try VidIQ out following seeing a lot of (in hindsight spammy) recommendations. Within 5 minutes of my running the “Bulk SEO” tool on the Tags of 26 of my videos, those 26 and only those 26 had their painstakingly created Descriptions trashed. I wrote to VidIQ urgently via Chat where I was told they’d be back in 3 hours. 48 hours later, no reply. Ultimately I escalated to the CEO following continued ignoring of the issue. The conclusion was the Support Manager refused to resolve the issue and denied VidIQ were responsible. When I pointed out that it was only those exact 26 videos I’d run through their service that were trashed (out of 130 videos), I was told they couldn’t help because I agreed to the T&C which state that I accept the service “With all its faults”. Do NOT use VidIQ. I now have to spend 6 hours putting everything right in 26 complex video descriptions, and I don’t want the same to happen to you.
