SproutVideo, a video hosting and marketing platform announced the beta launch of their new video website management tool. Sprout has joined the video site revolution along with a few others like Vidcaster, 23 Video, and Brightcove.
The idea behind SproutVideo’s video website tool is to make it as easy as possible to launch video environments without the need for two different content management systems. SproutVideo websites are easy to configure and customize including adding your own logo, customizing the colors, adding your own CSS, the menu colors, etc.
The new video website tool also includes security and viewer specific viewing options, including videos that are dynamically visible if the contact or viewer has access to view them. If the viewer does not have access, they are prompted to login.
As far as analytics go, all video engagement data is standard via the SproutVideo dashboard. You can also add Google Analytics tracking, enable social media sharing, and customize the About and Contact pages. The video sites also have built-in video sitemaps for SEO, commenting (powered by Disqus), RSS feeds.
The only drawback that we can see is that there is not yet support for custom domains, only subdomains based on the provided URL structure from SproutVideo.
