More and more companies are looking to find a means to creating video content quickly and affordably. Animoto solves this specific need. If time to market and lack of absolute control over the final product is not a requirement, Animoto will be perfect for your next video project or as a essential tool in your video marketing stack.
Created for both consumer and professional applications such as wedding photos and family trip slide shows to business videos and corporate overviews, Animoto provides. A simple interface with pre-set templates means you don’t need to know anything about video editing to create a professional looking video.
What we like
Animoto automates what would typically be detailed video editing and production decisions, so you don’t have think about it. Everything from transitions, to titles, branding, and music, Animoto styles the video and syncs the audio automatically. Simply upload photos or videos you want to use and order them the way you want them to appear, choose your music and hit the “create video” button to publish your new video. There is even a “remix” option to make additional automated remixes of your videos.
What we don’t like
There are many things we don’t like about Animoto. It’s all about expectations, Animoto provides a simple, yet effective tool for video marketers and non-technical content creators to easily create video content. Because the platform is so simple and templated, design control can be somewhat limiting and may be frustrating to advanced video production experts.
Some other drawbacks are the lack of control to make subtle changes to a single video frame and ability to edit just one section of the video without affecting the entire video.
